Thanks. This reminds me of some of my favories, and gives me new items to ad to my Netflix queue. One thing, though: Peter Jackson = Director; Andrew Jackson = Politician/Statesman.

I have all their albums and love them. This new album is more of the same, but in their case that is not bad at all. I love what they are doing with their “signature smorgasbord of styles.” My favorite song on this new album is “Today.”

Nice and refreshing interview. Prof. Wright, I believe, has been raised in this era of the Church to be a light upon a hill. His remarkable understanding of scriptures in relation with the Post Modern Church that is enamored with its traditions is a testament to the ministry of Elijah in the end times which is aptly but vividly portrayed by the Two Witnesses in the book of Revelations.
I pray that the world will give credence and thought to his teaching and not dismiss or attack his view reflexively which has been the default position of lots of so called christian preachers and thinkers. May the Father of all Lights continue to quicken our minds to the understanding of His Word. Amen.

Just a thought on the whole “with mass comes baggage” thought. As far as the Church is concerned the mass is a great many things. A scriptural beating over the head it is not. In terms of what it is, it is a sacrifice not a re-sacrifice but rather a revising of the original sacrifice pin Calvary. while it does contain scripture and its liturgical meaning it is not heavily laden with overly abundant discussions of what it might mean. Rather it gets to the point. Scriptural study is our responsibility as faithful servants of God. It was once said by saint Thomas Aquinas that ignorance of scripture is ignorance of Christ. I would blame less the faith but rather the individual given that the individual already has this information. Once you know your responsibility it is your job to do it. Just a few thoughts, God bless you all.
