One-on-one song critiques, author critique circles, and visual critiques are free for attendees! 

Song Discovery’s one-on-one puts you across the table from an industry pro for a 20-minute evaluation of one of your original songs. If you have only written a couple songs in your life, this is a perfect way to get started on the right track. Or, if you are a seasoned writer, this is a chance for you to delve deeper and entertain new approaches or ideas from a professional.

Space for the one-on-one critiques, is limited and is given on a first-come, first served basis. (To sign up for this add-on, simply click the on-on-one box on the registration page.)  You will be emailed closer to the event with your session time.  Please make sure to bring your song on a CD and a lyric sheet.

The critique circles will take place during one of your workshop times. These will work as peer critique groups with each group led by an industry professional. This is your chance to get writing insight from other vested authors as well as invaluable information from someone who has the unique perspective of an experienced writer.

Space for the critique circles, is limited and is given on a first-come, first served basis. (To sign up for this add-on, simply click the author critique circle box on the registration page.)  You will be emailed closer to the event with your session time.  Articles/blog posts can be up to 750 words. Poets/liturgical wrtiers can read two poems or responsive readings. Please bring copies of your writing for others to follow along.

The visual critique panels will take place during workshop times. During these interactive classes, attendees experienced have the chance to interact with experienced artists and find critical feedback that will enhance and transform their art in the service of worship.

Space for the Visual Critiques will be limited to time and availability. (There is no sign up for this this add-on, simply bring a flash drive with your visual art on it.) Appropriate visual pieces include short film (choose a 2-minute-or-less snippet), creative images, motion background, etc.
