One Sonic Society
Provident

When you have chops like these guys, it’s hard to miss; the members of One Sonic Society (Jason Ingram, Paul Mabury and Stu G) are all producers in addition to being musicians. However, Live at the Tracking Room is clearly not about sheen or production tricks. The Society gentlemen gathered a veritable who’s who of modern worship performer/songwriters (including, among others, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Reuben Morgan and Matt Maher) into a studio to do what they do best—live worship. The result? Stu G sums it up best by simply referring to who they are: One (unity), Sonic (great music), Society (community).
More: Live at the Tracking Room is a disc of straightforward, heartfelt worship music recorded by a bunch of people that do it very well.
Less: Some of this music we’ve heard before. In many ways, though, that makes the project more compelling—it’s a real-life worship set from real-life worshipers.
