Scotty Smith graduated in 1972 from the University of North Carolina with a B.A. in Religion and received an M.A. in New Testament Studies from the Westminster Theological Seminary in 1977. He served as senior pastor at Christ Community Church in Franklin, TN, for its first 20 years and has seen its membership grow to over 3,000. He invests much of his time now in world missions, speaking, writing, coaching church planters, and serving as adjunct professor at Covenant Theological Seminary and Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. Scotty has had the honor of walking with and serving numerous artists during his 27 years in the Nashville community. He has written five books, including The Reign of Grace, and Restoring Broken Things (with Steven Curtis Chapman).
