This duo became “Brad & Rebekah” (in the musical sense) after meeting at North Central University in Minneapolis, MN after Brad’s all male worship team found themselves in need of female lead vocals. Rebekah passed by the dinner table and was a unanimous decision, and the rest, as they say, is history. Shortly following graduation they became “Brad & Rebekah” (in the romantic sense) and married in 2006. After brief tag-team worship position the two stepped out to pursue a ministry of full-time music on the road.
Brad & Rebekah’s most recent worship project, When We Gather, released in June 2013. The songs are a collaboration with Josh Silverburg (producer) and Kipp Williams and focuses on digging into Biblical truth singable for today’s Church. The title track, When We Gather, comes straight from Matthew 18:19 & 20 – “…truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” The song is an encouragement for believers to gather together believing God’s promise to be with us and to see Him move among us.
More: Catchy tunes accessible to the local church body. While not a live recording they have managed to capture a moving worship experience centered in Christ. Give a listen to “Lift Your Hands,” “All You’ve Done,” “When We Gather,” and “Oh Great God.”
Less: There is some awfully popular worship phraseology throughout this work. Biblical lyrics can’t be repeated enough, but all others are suspect.
