Ed Steele dedicated two decades to missionary work with his family in Central America, culminating in a pivotal six-year tenure as a Music Editor at the Baptist Spanish Publishing House (now known as Mundo Hispano) in El Paso, Texas. From 2003 to 2022, he enriched the academic community at Leavell College of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary as a Professor of Music. There, he imparted his vast knowledge through courses in Worship, Music History, Hymnology, and Voice. This innovative center offers digital access to rare hymnals via the seminary’s library [Online Center for Hymnological Research](https://www.nobts.edu/library/hymnological-research/Default.html). Beyond academia, Ed also served as the Minister of Music and Worship at Parkview Baptist Church in Metairie, Louisiana, for 16 years. He is the esteemed author of *Worship HeartCries: Personal Preparation for Worship*, various anthems, and hymns. Ed's life partner, Dr. Kathy Steele, together with their two adult children and three grandchildren, share in his ministry and musical legacy.
