Sandra McKinney
Sandra McKinney, a multifaceted musician, choir director, and Worship Development Specialist, hails from Monroe, Louisiana, where she honed her piano skills before majoring in Music Education and Composition at the University of Louisiana. Her early career saw the formation of The McKinney Spiritual Singers, leading to her influence spreading through television and concerts across the south. Relocating to Los Angeles, Sandra became a revered figure in the religious music scene, contributing as a columnist and radio host, and interviewing Gospel music luminaries. She expanded her academic pursuits with studies in Entertainment and Evangelism, contributing to various publications and preparing to lead a workshop on Evangelism Through Worship and Praise. Throughout her career, Sandra has collaborated with notable artists, founded the Music to Music Seminars, and directed The Power of Praise Mass Choir, impacting over 3,000 individuals through her teaching and ministry. She established The Praise and Worship Institute Los Angeles, received an honorary doctorate for her contributions to sacred music, and initiated The Sandra McKinney Concert Series to spotlight emerging talents. Currently, she is working on a project blending the Psalms with hymns and spiritual songs, set for release in August 2024. Beyond her professional life, Sandra is a mother who enjoys culinary arts, sewing, and the beach.
