  • "Hope Has a Name" is a Christmas-themed album with the trademark Passion sound and familiar artists, featuring a great balance of new and standard Christmas fare.

Since its inception in 1997, the Passion Conference has been a winter time highlight for for those who are 18-25. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the conference will take place fully online in 2021, but there will not be a void for those who eagerly anticipate the Passion Conference music.  Hope Has a Name is a Christmas themed Passion album available now with the trademark Passion sound and familiar artists including, Melodie Malone, Chidima, Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker, and Crowder.

Passion artist Kristian Stanfill says, “With so many things being canceled and changed this year with the onset of COVID-19, one of the few blessings has been time. We had more time to dream, write and create what it would look like to make a Christmas record. The heart of this whole project is an invitation to come and find everything you need in Jesus.”

The title track “Hope Has a Name” is one of the tracks from this album that easily makes the transition into a church celebration of the season.  Crowder provides a fresh take on the Christmas standard “O Holy Night” and the remaining tracks all provide exactly what the title implies: “Hope” through the coming of Jesus.

More: Passion music is always phenomenal. Hope Has a Name is a great balance of new and standard Christmas fare sure to please the entire family.

Less: The instrumentation doesn’t differentiate much from the normal Passion fare. The “Christmas” sounds seem to be missing from an otherwise exceptional offering.
