Music Review | “Perfect Love” By Lincoln Brewster

Avatar

Longtime artist/worship leader Lincoln Brewster returns with his eleventh career album, Perfect Love.

A writer who always strives to be authentic in his work and in his worship, these eleven songs have a common goal of encouraging hearts to surrender to God’s movement in their life and ultimately, His perfect love for us.

True to it’s name, uptempo “Move” is impossible to listen to while sitting still, much like uplifting “Nobody Like You,” Jazz-tinted “Have Your Way” and rhythmic “Love Sweet Love.”

Musically, “Surrender (My Heart Is Yours)” plays on Brewster’s impressive guitar skills for a highlight moment on the record, alongside reflective “Who Am I,” personal “Let Me Love You” and the anthemic title track.

A worship leader at heart, Lincoln’s projects always offer a few congregational gems. On Perfect Love, those tracks are “If Not For Christ,” “O How Great” and “Have Your Way.”

With Perfect Love, Lincoln Brewster shares an ideal balance of powerful congregational declarations of worship and well-crafted moments for personal times of praise.
