WE are invited to join in this mission of LOVE…for the life of the world. Mission is not first something the Church does, but describes the very being of God and how God works in our world.
Worship really can turn our lives upside down, or better yet, worship turns our lives outward.
The best is always aligned with God’s mission for our lives: to be disciples who make disciples, following and obeying Jesus.
Apart from the command of Jesus to “go and make disciples of every nation,” the “right” mission doesn’t exist, only the one that you and your ministry colleagues will choose. Pick what is good, true, noble, trustworthy, and beautiful and do that.
Worship is personal. Worship is a Who—relationship, conversation—not a What. We must remember that.
In these days, let’s be looking for, and writing, songs that lead us to this comforting and emboldening place of hope in Christ.
Worship songs are the way the people of God remember God’s action in the past, and remind each other of God’s presence and goodness today.
What if worship were more than midweek rehearsals and Sunday services? What if, instead, worship were a continuous way of life?
