I envision a world where people engage in a proactive movement toward unity and understanding relating to culture and come-from. My passion is to help you move from Monocultural to Multicultural in your work and life.
I realize that so much in my life up until this point has been what I call “a divine set-up.” My story began growing up in a tri-cultural family, even though we were all from the same ethnic group. One part of my family was ridiculously multicultural, the second part was relatively monocultural, with the third coming from a rural environment.
We sat down with the Bethel Worship couple Jonathan and Melissa Helser (No Longer Slaves & Raise A Hallelujah) fresh off the release of Bethel’s latest release entitled, Revival’s In the Air to understand the heart behind the project and the story behind the song.
After more stories of hardship, I asked, “Are any of you frustrated with what your families went through back then and how it’s affected you all these years? I mean, I would be and I wouldn’t blame anyone who felt that way.”
The only way to create an alternative to isomorphic sameness, shallow lyrics, and bad theology is to be led by the Spirit, embody Christ, worship God, and cling to the Text at the heart of our communities: the Bible.
