Review by Chris Marchand

If you haven’t checked out Pop Scripture Songs then you need to drop what you’re doing and look them up right now! It’s tremendously powerful to see such a talented and focused group of young people who truly want to see God’s word grow in the hearts of children and youth. The Pop Scripture Songs band is led by Danny Stephens (Small Town Poets), Noah Stephens, and Matt Langston. But make no mistake! This band is a family effort and that’s part of what makes them so special. When you’re listening to them on a stage or in the comfort of your own car, you feel the rhythmic energy that this group generates. One of the things that make Pop Scripture Songs unique is how they make memorizing God’s word sticky, snappy, and overall – memorable. The five-song EP Evidence was a collaborative project with Awana Clubs International (which is known for Scripture memorization) to take some of their Scripture memory verses and give them a top 40 pop sound. The EP is a beautiful and diverse offering with a little something for everyone. Every single song is worth listening to, but you don’t want to stop there. There are even more Pop Scripture Songs available to download and help aid in the important practice of getting God’s word into your heart. Overall, this band is fun, exciting, energetic, and has a great vision to make a lasting impact on the world. Check them out! You will not be disappointed.
