Music Review | “Another In The Fire (Revisited)” By The War Within featuring Rachel Wilkins
Taking its cue from the Biblical narratives of Shadrach, Mesach, Abednego and the apostle Peter, “Another in the Fire” by indie band The War Within is a great reminder that, as believers, we are never alone, even in the tumult. This “revisited” cover of the 2018 song by Hillsong United follows along with the band’s emphasis to explore faith’s more chaotic, real side with an ethereal, somber, but praise-filled tone.
This is a song that the church should use in abundance at this time in history. Believers need the reminder that we are not alone in our struggles against the enemy. Pre-Christians need the knowledge that there is someone waiting to help in their time of need.
More: Excellent reminder of our need to depend on God rather than things of this world.
Less: Utilization of an acapella section or less synth reliant bridge would make the song less repetitive.
