Music Review | “City In Bloom” By VCLE
With a passion for people and all things musical, Randy…
Featuring veteran producers Seth Ernest (John Reuben) and and Drew Lavyne (Passion, Jesus Culture, Kari Jobe), City in Bloom is the debut album by worship collective VCLE. The 6-track release features Vineyard Cleveland’s worship team and alongside other Vineyard artists.
Opening with joy-filled “Praise of Your Glory,” listeners are immediately immersed in the electronic-infused passion of the God-centered worship time that is about to begin. What follows are reverent and reflective moments set to inspire your spirit’s communion with the Holy Spirit in an updated yet classic Vineyard worship tradition.
More: With excellent, focused songwriting and the backbeat of today’s sound, Vineyard Cleveland is sure to be another addition to the Vineyard stable of worship music.
Less: Variety of instrumentation seems to be limited. With 6 tracks, the instrumentation isn’t a distraction, but a full-length album with all electronic gear backing the vocals might prove to be limiting to the hearer.

With a passion for people and all things musical, Randy joined Trinity’s staff in September 2002. He and his wife Tammy have been married since 1986. Their family includes 3 daughters, 1 son, 3 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter. “Worship as a lifestyle” is the driving philosophy to Randy’s ministry at Trinity. He serves as support personnel in the multigenerational ministries of Trinity in an effort to show others that “worship” involves more than just the musical aspects that are so many oftentimes associated with the word. He is a member of the Arkansas Master’Singers, where he sings tenor and plays french horn. Randy also plays french horn and trumpet in the ASU-Beebe, Symphonic band. He can be seen on his Youtube channel Cross & Kin and is the author of the weekly blog Tuesday’s Musical Notes.
