The Story Behind the Song in the Songwriter’s Words:

This song was written after hearing a teaching from Dr. Constance Cherry on the purpose of invocation prayers in church gatherings. Dr. Cherry encouraged us to write a song that lifted worshiper’s eyes to God, asked for cleansing from sin, and asked for the help of the Holy Spirit. This song is an invocation/call to worship for God’s people!
