Song Story: “Still You Are Good”
November 4, 2019
“Even if the storm never ceases raging; if the water never turns to wine…still you are good to me.”
In this beautiful, moving song, one small word beckons us to deeply-rooted, biblical faith: still. The familiar imagery it contains (the parting of the Red Sea, water to wine, calming of a storm, unseen promises) encourages us to take stock of our own lives and stories, and recommit our trust. It is a necessary practice to remind ourselves through gratitude that God is good…still.
