It’s October and the next few months are full of holiday-specific gatherings. What are some ways to make these gatherings special? There is a lot of pressure on the worship leader to make this happen. Let this community be a sounding board for your ideas.

Jason Squires is a worship leader, songwriter, and a storyteller. Jason travels nationally leading worship and teaching at conferences. Along with being an artist, Jason wears a couple other hats. He is the Director of Cohorts for Worship Leader Magazine and owns a music teaching school in Woodland, CA called Musictown Studio. Jason’s passion is leading people to Jesus through creativity and inspiring creatives to reach their full potential. Jason married his High School sweetheart in 2007 and has three beautiful daughters.


After 25 years as the Worship Director and a leader on the Programming staff at Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago, Illinois, Joe spent the next 10 years helping to plant a church Traverse City, Michigan, where served as the Associate Pastor and Director of Worship Arts. As a nationally known worship leader, Joe has worked closely with artists such as Darlene Zschech, Abraham Laboriel and Tommy Walker, and has written and recorded several familiar worship choruses, including “Everything I Am,” “Awesome, Amazing,” “To Know You More,” and “Still I Will Worship You.” He is co- author of the book, “Exploring the Worship Spectrum” and of numerous articles on worship and worship leading. As the director of Engaging the Heart Ministries he regularly teaches and consults with churches on the topic of planning services, leading worship, building teams and leading authentic worship ministries. Joe has been married to his wife, Becky, for 33 years and is the father of two daughters, Torri and Abby.
