Overview
: UE’s second collaboration with the legendary Capitol Studios, UE Pro Reference Remastered provide an incredibly detailed custom in-ear monitor designed to recreate an acoustically treated studio experience. Made for musicians, audio engineers and audiophiles alike, the Pro Reference Remastered gives you a completely transparent/uncolored headphone mix, perfect for critical listening settings, monitor mixing or even studio recording. Fast becoming one of my favorite pair of custom ears, Pro Reference Remastered provides a listening experience unlike any other headphones on the market.

Features
: UE Pro Reference Remastered use three proprietary UE Pro True Tone Drivers that deliver a flat frequency response up to 18kHz. This phenomenal flat response and extended high frequencies allow the listener to hear harmonic structures and overtones that are often missing from headphones and custom IEM. The Pro Reference Remastered come with a custom round hardcase, ¼” adapter, a cleaning tool, an optional iOS cable with microphone, and a UE buffer jack for lowering audio signal on airplanes/entertainment centers and that corrects electrical impedance mismatches.

Sound
: The listening experience that UE Pro Reference Remastered is unmatched by any headphones or custom IEMs I’ve ever heard. Immediately after plugging them into my computer, I pulled up several songs I personally engineered and recorded and was blown away by the transient response, stereo image and extraordinary balance between bass, mid and treble; I was hearing things in my recordings I’ve never heard before! The low end is deep but tame, not hyped at all and the crossover point between the low and mid driver is perfectly engineered. Often, my biggest critique of custom IEM is that the bass too quickly takes over the mix, making it difficult for me to hear low-mids of guitars/keys/vocals, and I end up with an unbalanced mix on stage. The highs are where the magic really happens with the extended flat frequency range making the top end extremely open and transparent.
