Music Review | “God Is Good” By Ethan Kent
Harkening back to the soul hits of the ’60s comes Dallas-based Ethan Kent’s new single, “God is Good.” The song is the follow up single to Kent’s 2014 full length release, Work in Progress.
Partnering with local musicians Ryan Borckington, Arie & Eme, and Tamerick Brazzel, Kent delivers a song that needs to be heard in a time that is eerily reminiscent to an era of those same soul hits.
“…by the grace of God we are still standing and confident that we will see the goodness of God” is Kent’s pronouncement after seeing life’s “normal” disrupted. He is a voice for our time that needs to be heard at volume level 10+.
More: This is a great song that everyone needs to hear. Filled with encouragement and hope, it is the springboard by which we can face whatever may be next by God’s goodness, mercy and grace.
Less: Great song. Background vocals could be pulled back just a bit.
